Post-Operative Care

Expert Orthopedic Care, Delivering Faster Solutions for a Pain-Free Future, Near you!

One of the many advantages working within a private practice setting has, is the ability to implement, manage and adjust the entire process as needed. We are constantly analyzing our process measuring user-ability, growth, and effectiveness. Our team strives for excellence in every area, with our priority being our patients. Patient First. Patient Focused.

Education for our patients pre-operatively is crucial for their success post-operatively. So what do we do differently with our patients after surgery to really help their transition and adjustment with their new joint?

Contact – We provide our patients with multiple direct forms of contact to several members of our team. Included in this is direct contact for their physician, Ryan Molli, D.O., F.A.A.H.K.S., F.A.A.O.S.. They are able to get in touch with Dr. Molli should they have questions or concerns post-operatively. In addition, they are also provided with direct contact information for their DME provider, Travis Buzzell who assists in answering any questions pertaining to their calf pumps, compression shorts/socks, brace, walker, cane, etc. Lastly, our patients receive multiple emergency hotline numbers which should they need to call, they will reach a person within our practice or at the hospital. They are greeted with someone who is more than likely, familiar with them and their case. Providing our patients with multiple forms of contact, allows them comfort in knowing that should an orthopedic emergency arise during recovery, they know who to call and have the information readily available.

Information – We provide our patients with a plethora of detailed information for them to review before their surgery, about their post-operative care. Included in this are visual diagrams, step by step directions, and gradual exercises based on the level the patient is at. Patients are able to review this information prior to their surgery, allowing them to ask any questions they may have beforehand.

Follow Up – We schedule to see patients following their surgery regularly for the first year. We then schedule to see them 5 and 10 years, or as needed. We are accessible to our patients via phone, email or chat post-operatively, should they have any questions or concerns between scheduled appointments. Many times as patients begin to feel more normal and are adjusting back into daily life, they will have questions regarding what they “can and can’t” do, so they’ll call us at four or five months, sometimes seven or eight months post-op, just to check in and make sure they are good to go! We’re always here for those conversations, as well.

Post-Operative care is crucial for a successful outcome! Don’t forget this step
